In addition to afflictions that occur in younger people, older adults can also suffer conditions characteristic of their age. Therapy in the geriatric patient requires a very specific approach appropriate to both their age and pathology or disease. Age also determines the adjustment of treatment over time. Selecting the appropriate manual therapy, exercise and other procedures is crucial to successful treatment.
